Position summary
The the role of Discipleship Student Pastor is responsible for fostering strong connections with our student body and community. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience, a passion for ministry and discipleship. The primary responsibility of the Discipleship Pastor is to create an inclusive and collaborative environment for the Discipleship team to organize the Discipleship Moment for worship at One Place. This role is also responsible for creating the schedule of volunteers who greet and serve food to all visitors and attendees of One Place. Overall we're looking for someone who loves creating connections anyone who enters the space.

Prior experience with ministry and discipleship

Prior hospitality and logistical experience

Duties and responsibilities
-
Lead the Discipleship team in for planning the Discipleship Moment that occurs each sabbath at One Place
-
Recruit members to the Discipleship team and delegate tasks
-
Assist in planning and coordinating events and activities to engage with the volunteer teams and general worshiping community, such as Bible studies, vespers, potlucks, and community gatherings

Oversee hospitality at One Place, including greeting and food services, ensuring that everyone who comes in feels welcome and invited to be there

Create a community events calendar and plan outreach

Ensure that the team is carrying out all relevant responsibilities for their role when not present

Facilitate meaningful and engaging interaction with the attendees related to the service

Ensure Planning Center is up to date with information related to your function by Thursdays

Be a present and active participant for all One Place services with the exception of One Sabbath off per month

Attend weekly meetings related to the services at One Place

Attend the biweekly CFE Leadership Lab
-
Attend the beginning of the school year CFE retreat
Supervisory responsibilities
Ability to lead meetings with volunteers and paid team members in while creating a warm, collaborative environment.

Technical competencies
Ability to use Planning Center, maintain spreadsheets and excel sheets.
Interpersonal interactions
The Administrative Student Pastor orchestrates the seamless execution of worship services and events, by fostering a vibrant and inclusive faith community.
Physical demands
Most be able to lift items 40 pounds while moving items for service or events.
Work environment
Ability to be present in various enviroments including meeting spaces, varying types of spaces for worship and spaces with multiple people gathered.
